#FTB = Free the Beats II July 18th

Raw Ground

Reinstill the importance of  investing in our own community by supporting up-and-coming creators.

By harnessing the power and drive of small entrepreneurs and artists, we can strengthen our local economy as well as promote the message that our most powerful display of freedom comes by liberating and supporting those around us.

While the world was under tight regulations to manage the COVID-19 pandemic, countless business owners and artists were hard at work creating products and content that are ready to be shared. We’d like to provide a venue for businesses to connect with potential patrons and provide community members access to high quality, local products. In addition, we’d like to feature a number of local performers and music artists that have been making music all throughout the lockdown. They are ready to finally showcase what they’ve been working on in a more “normal” performance setting. By hosting this event and collaborating with vendors and artists, we hope to create a valuable space for connection and growth, while also having a good time.

Some of the proceeds will be donated to Today’s Future Sound: an Oakland-based organization that provides arts programming to elementary, middle and high schools. They specialize in digital music such as beat-making, which is utilized for its therapeutic components. TFS also services mental health facilities, juvenile detention centers and other community settings internationally. This organization deeply aligns with our commitment to community investment by  utilizing the arts and one-on-one attention to heal and enrich our community.
