H2E2 Summer Institute presents “Hip Hop: A Culture of Universal Education”

About this event

The H2E2 Initiative was established to address the teacher shortage and retention issues in California schools as well as introduce new industry partnerships that provide educational programming and professional development services for career technical education (CTE) programs in the arts, media, and entertainment (AME) industry sector and beyond.

Core elements of the initiative involve recruitment of aspiring Hip Hop educators, establishment of standard-based curriculum models, Hip Hop Congress student leadership youth chapters, Hip Hop enrichment programming, and an ongoing system of support and training for CTE credential candidates and teachers. Essential to the long-term success of the H2E2 Initiative is the development of Hip Hop Education Standards by an international think tank spearheaded by the Hip Hop Education Center at the Universal Hip Hop Museum and Hip Hop CU (CommUniversity), a virtual microschool and marketplace for Hip Hop Educators.

Dr. Elliot Gann will delve into the therapeutic beatmaking method on Day 2 of the event – July 31st, 2021. Check it out!
